Why GAMEC?

Muslim Eritreans have built vibrant communities across the world for decades, each shaped by its own history, country, and circumstances. That diversity is something to celebrate — but it has also meant that our organizations, however strong individually, have often worked apart rather than together.

GAMEC, the Global Association of Muslim Eritrean Communities, was created to close that gap. We're not here to replace the many organizations already serving Muslim Eritreans worldwide. We're here to coordinate their efforts. GAMEC is a global platform where existing communities and organizations keep their own identity while cooperating on what matters most to all of us: sharing knowledge, reducing duplicated effort, and taking on projects too big for any one group alone.

Our mission is to advance the social, civic, cultural, and spiritual well-being of Muslim Eritreans everywhere, preserving our heritage, nurturing Islamic values, and building unity, leadership, and civic responsibility across the diaspora and with Eritrea.
