Mission and Vision
GAMEC is a leading Muslim Eritrean organization serving communities outside of Eritrea. GAMEC is a non-governmental, non-political, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) voluntary membership association composed of organizations, communities, villages, and individuals dedicated to being of service to Allah (SWT) and strengthening the global Muslim Eritrean community.
GAMEC is committed to advancing the social, civic, cultural, and spiritual fabric of Muslim Eritreans in North America and around the world. The Association works to preserve our rich heritage, nurture strong Islamic values, and promote unity, leadership, and civic responsibility among its members.
GAMEC will also foster meaningful connections with the Eritrean motherland in matters concerning the religious, civic, and social well-being of all Eritreans. It will educate community members about their rights and responsibilities within democratic societies while organizing and coordinating local chapters and regional bodies across various countries to expand its global network and further its mission.
As concerned Muslim Eritreans (seniors and youth), we recognize the following priorities:
- Establish a faith-based civic association addressing social justice issues.
- Unite Muslim Eritrean communities around a common mission.
- Support the development of Islamic community centers globally.
- Create dedicated Youth, Women, Senior, and Professional Associations.
- Strengthen Islamic knowledge through connections with scholars and sheikhs.
- Collaborate with other Islamic organizations for the greater good.
- Provide relief and development assistance for Eritrea and refugee communities.
- Organize interfaith dialogues and outreach initiatives.
We believe that diversity is a divine blessing, and as Muslims, working together toward a common goal (Islam) is the key to our success.
